Local and heirloom seeds that are raised and grown in one farm will be transported to another by four volunteer cyclists.
As a part of the “Long Live Seeds” project by Bugday Association, 134 rare and local seeds were identified throughout Turkey. Then the seeds were collected and sown through Bugday’s ecological farm network, TaTuTa (www.tatuta.org). After the harvest, the seeds collected and preserved will be exchanged between farms and seed enthusiasts.
For the Seed Freedom Fortnight Action, four volunteer cyclists will transport the heirloom seeds from one farm to another in Kaz (Ida) Mountains. Sustainability of food will be secured by a sustainable form of transportation, bicycles.Find out more »
